Guide to Replacement Clamp Covers

This article will review the replacement jaw covers available for Park Tool repair stands. There are several jaw covers available depending upon the model and generation of your stand. It is best to inspect your clamp and then compare it to the jaw covers here. All jaw covers come as a complete pair with fasteners if applicable.

Micro-Adjust Clamps

#1960 - Micro-Adjust Clamps (2010-)

The 1960 fits the jaws clamp used on the PRS-25, as well as the 100-3D and 100-5D clamps, as featured on our PCS-4, PRS-2.3, PRS-3.3, PRS-4.2, PRS-4W, PRS-7 and PRS-33.2.

The 1960 cover is held in place by two studs protruding through the clamps. The studs are held in place with the included clips. The covers are nominally 2.75 inches (7cm) long.

Home Mechanic Repair Stands

#2860 - Home Mechanic Repair Stands (2019-)

The 2860 fits the jaws on the PCS-9.2, PCS-9.3, PCS-10.2, and PCS-10.3. 2860 jaw covers are almost the exact same shape as the 1960, but thicker, enabling these home mechanic repair stands to clamp tubes as small as ⅞”.

The 2860 cover is held in place by two studs protruding through the clamps. The studs are held in place with the included clips. The covers are nominally 2.75 inches (7cm) long.

#1185K - Home Mechanic Repair Stands (2004-2018)

The 1185K fits the clamp jaws on the PCS-9, PCS-10, PCS-11 and PCS-12 repair stands. The cover is held in place by two studs protruding through the clamps. The studs are held with clips. The covers are nominally 3.5 inches (9cm) long.

Adjustable/Spring Linkage Clamps

#468B - Adjustable Linkage Clamps (current model)

468B are the current clamp covers for the 100-3C, 100-5C, 100-8C, 100-8Y and 100-9C clamps. These are the “standard shop” clamps found on such models as the PRS-2, PRS-2 OS, PRS-2.2, PRS-2.3, PRS-3, PRS-3 OS, PRS-3.2, PRS-3.3, PRS-4, PRS-4 OS, PRS-4.2, PRS-7, PRS-5 and PCS-4. Both clamp jaws have a deep recess in the center of the radius that allow the jaws to safely clamp over cable housing. Jaw covers are held by two studs that insert through the clamp jaws. These studs are then held by clips. The covers are nominally 4 inches (10cm) long.

#468G — Spring Linkage Clamps (PCS-1 & PCS-2)

The 468G fit the clamps of the 100-1C, 100-1CA, and 100-2C. These were the clamps on most generations of the PCS-1 and PCS-2. The clamps are made of welded stamped steel. Both clamp jaws have a deep recess in the center of the radius that allow the jaws to safely clamp over cable housing. Jaw covers are colored gray. The covers are nominally 4 inches (10cm) long.
NOTE: Use care not to confuse the 468G with the 467G jaw covers. The two are not interchangeable.

#467B - Spring Linkage Clamps (PRS-3 & PRS-2 – Single Cable Relief)

The 467B fits older 100-3C, 100-5C and 100-8C clamps. These older generation clamps were used on older shop stands such as the PRS-3 and PRS-2. Only the moving jaw has a deep recess in the center of the radius that allow the jaws to safely clamp over cable housing. The fixed jaw on the main shaft has no recess. Both jaw covers are held by two studs that insert through the clamp jaws. These studs are then held by clips. The covers are nominally 4 inches (10cm) long.

#467G — Spring Linkage Clamps (PCS-1 Clamps with Single Cable Relief)

The 467G fits the clamps of the older versions of the 100-2C clamps. These were the clamps of the earliest generation of the PCS-1 and PCS-2 (manufactured prior to 1992). The clamp is made of welded stamped steel. Only the moving jaw has a deep recess in the center of the radius that allow the jaws to safely clamp over cable housing. The fixed jaw on the main shaft has no recess. The covers are nominally 4 inches (10cm) long.

#466 - Vintage Clamps with Dipped Jaws

466 jaw covers are “slip-on” covers. There are no studs or clips. These fit the very early generation clamp jaws that were dipped in plastic. The original covers must be cut off before the 466 are slipped over the jaws. Neither jaw side has a recess for cable housing.

Extreme Range Clamps

#1259 - Extreme Range Clamps (2004-2015)

The 1259 fits the clamp jaws of the 100-4X, 100-6X, 100-7X, and 100-15X (used on the PRS-15). The cover is held in place by two studs protruding through the clamps. The studs are held with clips. The covers are nominally 3.5 inches (9cm) long.

#1002 - Extreme Range Clamps (2001-2003)

The 1002 fits the clamp jaws on the 100-3X and 100-5X extreme range clamps. The cover is held in place by two studs protruding through the clamps. The studs are held with clips. The covers are nominally 3.5 inches (9cm) long.
